Armed with plastic shopping bags, wooden skewers and a hot glue gun, Joanna Langford transforms ordinary spaces into captivating miniaturised worlds powered only by warm air and our imaginations. These simple materials, combined with dreamlike transitions of scale and wild suspensions of reality, entice us persuasively and nostalgically back to the make-believe games of childhood, where a space beneath the stairs could stretch out into a vast landscape of wonder and possibility.
