Skew Whiff is the latest effort from the Otakou Press at the University of Otago. The Otakou Press runs an annual printers residence programme every September. This year the Auckland printer John Denny collaborated with the poet Peter Olds and artist Kathryn Madill, both from Dunedin. The finished product continues the Otakou Press tradition of producing exceptional hand printed books combining the efforts of writers, artists and letterpress printers. It is available from the Otakou Press, check out information on the press here.

Alan Loney has also been busy at Electio Editions in Melbourne and his latest hand-printed book features the poem if not in paint by the writer Marion May Campbell. Each copy of this book is illustrated with two superb original ink drawings that are accompanied with watercolour washes by Miriam Morris. This must have been a time consuming project for all involved, it was published in an edition of 31 copies for sale and the finished book is superb and well rewards the collaborative efforts between poet, artist and printer.
