The Newest New World

Discover a tiny, spellbinding world made out of rainbow-coloured sugar.

Working as Pip & Pop, Australian artist Tanya Schultz has created spellbinding, vividly coloured landscapes around the world. Her installation combines fine sand, sugar, craft materials and found objects to explore her ongoing fascination with the search for an earthly utopia. Recalling legendary landscapes that transformed their appearance and could not be found upon a traveller’s return, Schultz connects these ideas to Christchurch through the incorporation of local stories and mythologies.
