Nigel Borell discusses some of the key ideas presented in his recent Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki exhibition Toi Tū Toi Ora: Contemporary Māori Art.

Toi Tū Toi Ora: Contemporary Māori Art was the largest exhibition in Auckland Art Gallery's 133-year history, featuring over 300 artworks by 110 Māori artists.

This talk will explore the breadth of the project while illuminating some of the propositions it presents for the nature of our New Zealand art history.

Nigel Borell will be presenting the first part in this series at the Arts Centre on 16 July.

In collaboration with Arts in Oxford.
