Milbourn St Andrew, The Seat Of Edmd Morton Pleydell Esq.

This house reached the state depicted by about 1730. It was demolished in 1802, when the Pleydell family moved to nearby Whatcombe House. The office block, dairy and servants' quarters were retained and now comprise Manor Farm. Parts of the walled garden have also survived. The original painting by William Tomkins, from which this engrvaing was made, is still at Whatcombe House.
