In recent times, that building housed a Greek restaurant (now relocated), and was well known, if not infamous, for some fairly wild hen's nights and twenty-firsts. There's been some talk around here regarding the memories of places seeping into the earth, and nowhere, I'd venture, is that more true than in this case. Probably a fair whack of ouzo, too.

That phrase came to mind when I was watching the demolition of the old Santorini building on our block by these two large excavators.
