To celebrate the warmer weather I have been running a new 'en plein air' watercolour lesson with school groups around town.
The students look at a selection of watercolour paintings including works by Olivia Spencer Bower and William Sutton. The lesson is held outside and the class paint their surroundings and studies of the plants in the school's garden.
It's a really nice, relaxing lesson – I figure after this year we could all do with something like that. Here are some photos from the year 3 and 4 kids at Halswell School.
