The 2011 Christchurch Arts Festival has been full of highlights, from theatre to dance to the visual arts. However, it's been the music that has made the biggest impression on me.
It's been difficult to see everything (especially with so many sold out gigs!), but it was nice to get along to the recent Thursday Sessions, where Lyttelton's The Unfaithful Ways took time out from their national tour (as part of The Harbour Union collective) to drop into North Hagley Park and play to some old friends. Nick Taylor – one of the technicians Christchurch Art Gallery occasionally calls on – took these stunning shots of the band in action.
