Robert & Barbara Stewart Library and Archives
The Robert & Barbara Stewart Library and Archives are available for bona fide art history researchers and students.
The Library contains information in a variety of formats relating closely to the Gallery's collection of art. Particular strengths are therefore contemporary New Zealand art and nineteenth century British art, but information can generally be found on any artist whose work is owned by the Gallery.
Your local school, tertiary institute or public library will be better placed to provide information about art history in general, or about artists not in the Gallery's collection.
The library is open by appointment only.
