Jobs at the Gallery
Where does the Christchurch Art Gallery advertise its vacancies?
Christchurch Art Gallery is a unit of the Christchurch City Council and all vacancies at the Gallery are advertised on the Council's jobs website.
Vacancies also appear in Christchurch's daily broadsheet, The Press (Wednesday and Saturday editions) and depending on the type of vacancy, in specialist publications.
Could I send my curriculum vitae to the Christchurch Art Gallery speculatively?
Rather than send the Gallery your CV in this way, we would suggest that you regularly check the Christchurch City Council's jobs website for vacancies and apply specifically for any position that you would be suited to.
Could I work as a volunteer or undertake work experience at the Christchurch Art Gallery?
The Gallery runs a team of Volunteer Guides to deliver its very successful programme of public tours and information sessions. Intakes of new Guides occur approximately every two years. Selection is by interview, followed by an intensive training programme. If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering your services in this way, please contact the Guides' Supervisor on (03) 941 7347.
