Bill Hammond: Jingle Jangle Morning

20 July – 22 October

Taking its title from a line in Bob Dylan's song 'Mr. Tambourine Man', this long-awaited spectacular survey exhibition traces the career of Bill Hammond, one of New Zealand's leading contemporary artists.

Through five thematic sections it reveals the development of Hammond's practice – from his frenetic, music-inspired work of the 1980s to the evolution of his signature bird paintings, begun in the 1990s after a journey to the sub-Antarctic Auckland Islands and culminating in a major new body of work exemplifying the unsettling splendour of Hammond's ongoing practice.
